We are thrilled to announce that Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) has today signed an MOU with the Composers, Authors and Publishers Association NPC CAPASSO
Consequently, CAPASSO will effective 1st July represent the rights in MCSK’s repertoire on YouTube. Accordingly, the earlier MOU between MCSK and Google which was at 1.7% will expire on July 1st, 2023 when the MOU between MCSK and CAPASSO, which is based on Kenya’s gazetted tariffs and at any event not less than 10% rate comes to force.
They also met the legendary singer Yvonne Chaka Chaka – Princess of Africa, Kenyan High Commissioner to South Africa, Amb. Catherine Mwangi and CAPASSO CEO Mr. Jotam Matariro.
The objective of the meeting was to explore areas of collaboration between Kenyan and South African creatives.
