MCSK CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua, MBS led by Kenya Copyright Board Chairman Hon Joshua Kutuny paid a courtesy call today on Hon. Aisha Jumwa Katana, CS Ministry of Gender, Culture, The Arts, and Heritage, alongside KECOBO Executive Director Mr. Edward Sigei and CEOs CS. Maurice Okoth and Joseph Njagi from Kenya Association of Music Producers and Performers Rights Society of Kenya, respectively.
The primary agenda of the meeting was to align the strategic collaboration between the Ministry, KECOBO and CMOs in enhancing collection of royalties and distribution.
The meeting discussed the operational aspects of the Collective Management Organizations (CMOs) and agreed to work together to address matters pertaining to the welfare of musicians in Kenya.
