Notice to all MCSK Members

2. The payment of the coefficient shall only apply to members who will have been successfully cleared during the auditing and vetting process. A further KES 5,000 shall be payable within the first quarter of the next calendar year (2016).

3. Vetting will only apply to those members whose music does NOT appear on any of the broadcasting log sheets as captured by the new monitoring system - VERICAST. Members whose music is on the SKIZA platform and those whose works are known and are in the public domain are also exempt from the exercise.

4. In order to establish their status for purposes of vetting, members are requested to verify their works by logging into the MCSK website – www.mcsk.or.ke  - and using the “Monitored Works” tab for ascertainment.

Members may also log into the VERICAST system at their respective regional offices. Members whose works have not been captured in the VERICAST system should submit their works in an MP3 format to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or present them, in the same format, to their respective regional offices.

5. Members are also requested to provide in sealed envelopes, any information relating to persons they may know to be “Ghost Members” and / or who may have registered with works whose rights they do not hold.

6. Pursuant to the provisions of Article 9 (d) (i), (ii) and (f) of the Memorandum and Articles of Association and the guidelines set out within the Code of Conduct (2013),  members who will not have been successful in the Auditing and Vetting exercise shall be sanctioned.

This may include but will not be limited to prohibition from attending meetings of the Society, suspension, termination and/or any other penalty as may be deemed appropriate by the Board disciplinary committee.
